来源:

Organizers of the Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (AIBD 2016) Conference announced that its final date for abstract submission is Sept. 13. AIBD is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America’s (CCFA) clinical research conference, and is scheduled to take place Dec. 8–10 in Orlando, Florida.

According to a press release, abstracts are still being accepted in the following sessions: clinical, pediatric, basic science and nursing. All submissions are subject to acceptance by the scientific abstract review committee, and those selected for oral or poster presentation will be published in the Inflammatory Bowel Diseases scientific journal.

Researchers who submit abstract proposals will be notified of their acceptance or refusal by Oct. 17.

CCFA is a non-profit, voluntary organization working to find cures for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis (UC), or colon cancer (CC). The foundation works by funding research and providing educational resources for patients and families, as well as for medical professionals and for the public in general. It organizes the AIBD Conference as a way to disseminate research information and build connections within the medical community, ultimately promoting research collaborations.

AIBD is the only conference exclusively for gastroenterologists, pediatric specialists, clinical researchers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals working with pediatric and adult patients with IBD.

The three-day conference will also provide continuing medical education through workshops and four-track format sessions for clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals, nurses, and pediatric gastroenterologists.

AIBD is supported by the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN), and the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG).

Attendees can earn up to 20.15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, or continuing medical education (CME) credits, depending on the session they choose.
