Dr. Radovick is a specialist in
growth and development and pubertal disordersin children. Her research has focused on the developmental
regulation ofhypothalamic-pituitary function.
Her laboratory has elucidated some of thefactors that control GnRH gene expression and the intracellular signalingpathways within the GnRH neuron. Dr. Radovick's laboratory has demonstratedthat the GnRH gene is the target
of growth factor and nuclear hormonesignaling pathways, which link
nutrition and growth with pubertal developmentand reproduction. Another major area of her research has
been to characterizethe transcription
factors important for normal pituitary development. Her initialstudies provided the first
description in man of the genetic mechanism forcombined pituitary hormone deficiency.
Dr. Radovick is the Past
